about

I am an industrial designer and ceramic artist, born and raised in Germany with Japanese and Taiwanese roots. In 2020 I graduated from Folkwang University of the Arts. Besides my own creations I work as a product designer at onomao in Cologne.
During the study I specialized my work on the ceramic material. I tried to understand the processes of the material from the raw state to the finished object from the craft and industrial perspective. Through the interest in it, I always tried to improve my skills in the production of ceramics, which, as in any profession, probably lasts more than a lifetime.

Tagtraum (120x120cm) is a mosaic made of stoneware and consists of 2400 pieces. The work was created as part of the exhibition Freibad, which took place in 2021 at the NRW Forum, Düsseldorf.
The mosaic shows a swimming pool scene with many people together in the water. The abstraction of the image reflects how distant it was to have the idea of being together in an outdoor pool.
