The Bowl Nagare – Blue Stroke features a graceful, rounded form with a gentle curve that enhances its elegant, organic silhouette. The smooth surface is adorned with a bold blue brushstroke, a signature element of the Nagare (流れ) design, evoking the fluidity and movement of water. The design symbolizes the ever-changing flow of time, trends, and nature, with the brushstroke serving as a visual representation of constant motion.
The bowl’s minimalist surface contrasts the smooth glaze with the expressive brushstroke, creating a subtle tension. Its design highlights the craftsmanship, allowing the handmade process to shine through in every curve and texture.
Although dishwasher safe, it’s recommended to handle with care, as the plate’s delicate edges are prone to chipping. For optimal care, hand washing is suggested. Each plate is a unique creation by Jimu Kobayashi, reflecting the artist’s personal touch and the beauty of handcrafted ceramics.
