The Plate L Nagare – Blue Stroke features a bold yet refined form with a subtle rise that enhances its graceful, organic silhouette. The smooth surface is marked by a striking blue brushstroke, evoking the fluid movement of water. The design captures the essence of Nagare (流れ), meaning “flow,” symbolizing the natural passage of time and the constant evolution of trends and nature.
The plate’s understated surface creates a dynamic tension between the smooth glaze and expressive brushstroke. Its minimalist design emphasizes craftsmanship, highlighting the handmade process in every curve and texture.
Although dishwasher safe, it’s recommended to handle with care, as the plate’s delicate edges are prone to chipping. For optimal care, hand washing is suggested. Each plate is a unique creation by Jimu Kobayashi, reflecting the artist’s personal touch and the beauty of handcrafted ceramics.
