The Plate S Nagare – Blue Stroke features a graceful, organic form with a subtle rise that enhances its elegant silhouette. Its smooth surface is adorned with a flowing blue brushstroke, evoking the delicate movement of water. The design reflects its name—Nagare (流れ), meaning “flow”—capturing the motion of time, trends, and nature.
While understated, the plate’s surface creates a subtle tension between the smooth glaze and brushstroke, blending calmness with dynamic energy. The minimalist design allows the craftsmanship to shine, showcasing the handmade process in every curve.
Although dishwasher safe, it’s recommended to handle with care as the plate’s delicate edges are prone to chipping. For optimal care, hand washing is suggested. Each plate is a unique creation by Jimu Kobayashi, reflecting the artist’s personal touch and the beauty of handcrafted ceramics.
